Kuching, 24th June 2020,
IN response to the government’s call, one early childhood education provider has taken a cautious step to reopen all its centres nationwide.
Although e-learning was implemented in all education centres from the beginning of the movement control order, the July 1 reopening of all Smart Reader Worldwide centres will allow its pupils to resume their education.
Understanding the impact and risk of the Covid-19 pandemic, it is one of the first early childhood education providers to develop and submit its standard operating procedure (SOP) to the Education Ministry.
The comprehensive SOP, which prioritises a safe learning environment for children, will be practised in every Smart Reader Kids centre.
It will ensure that children will be comfortable and able to learn in an optimum environment.
Smart Reader Worldwide executive director Kevan Ong said parents were assured that the guidelines, aimed at preventing the spread of infection, would be taken seriously.
He added, “At Smart Reader Kids, children’s safety is our first priority. We will not compromise on any non-compliance with the SOP given.”
Over the years, Smart Reader Worldwide has carved its name as a leading early childhood education provider in Malaysia.
It has revolutionised the landscape of preschool education by incorporating fun and excitement in its lessons through the Smart Reader Creative Teaching Methodology.
Its educational programmes are designed to give children a holistic educational experience while adopting a creative approach, thus improving the children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development.
Smart Reader Kids has introduced a range of new programmes, including Smart Mindfulness Programme, STE(A)M and I Enjoy Play-Learning.
The list of educational programmes provided by Smart Reader Worldwide consist of Smart Reader Kids, Smart Reader Kids Islamic, Smart Reader Kids Mandarin Medium, Smart Reader Kids Intensive English Programme, Smart Reader Kids Tamil Language Programme and Smart Reader Kids++ franchises.
Its centres nationwide will be opening their doors for the July 2020 new intake.
Continuing Smart Reader Kids pupils will be entitled to a free face shield while new registrants will receive a drawstring bag and face shield for the half-day session, or a drawstring bag, face shield and water tumbler for the full-day session.
