Tam Jai International Co. Limited (TJI) has announced its partnership with Hextar Retail Berhad, a member of the Malaysian conglomerate Hextar Group of Companies to enter Malaysia.
TJI has entered into an agreement with Hextar for the setup and operation of restaurants under the Group’s brands in Malaysia. This strategic collaboration signifies a major expansion for both companies, with the first restaurant expected to launch in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia by the first quarter of 2025.
TJI is a restaurant group in Hong Kong operating 240 restaurants. It owns three fast-casual brands, TamJai Yunnan Mixian, TamJai SamGor Mixian, and the addition of the Japanese udon brand, Marugame Seimen, through a franchise in Hong Kong.
Meanwhile, the Hextar Group operates across a wide variety of sectors including consumer and properties, with a global presence in over 100 countries. It also has strong expertise in the food and beverage industry with extensive local market knowledge, especially in the Chinese noodle segment.
TJI also plans to enter Australia and the Philippines.
