{"id":8735,"date":"2020-07-01T10:55:34","date_gmt":"2020-07-01T02:55:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dclass.my\/masjid\/?p=8735"},"modified":"2020-07-01T10:55:34","modified_gmt":"2020-07-01T02:55:34","slug":"national-franchise-development-plan-to-boost-industry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mfa.org.my\/mfa2020\/2020\/07\/01\/national-franchise-development-plan-to-boost-industry\/","title":{"rendered":"National franchise development plan to boost industry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Putrajaya, June 30,<\/p>\n<p>The National Franchise Development Master Plan (PIPFN) 2021-2025, which is currently being developed, will be able to boost local and overseas franchise businesses as well as increase franchise sales value by 2025.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kpdnhep.gov.my\/en\/\">Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs<\/a>\u00a0Minister Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi said the five-year strategy is part of the post-COVID-19 recovery plan to revive the franchise industry which had been adversely affected by the movement control order (MCO) imposed to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>He said this to reporters after a round-table discussion involving 51 franchisers here on June 29.<\/p>\n<p>Nanta said\u00a0franchise sales value stood at RM11\u00a0billion in 2018\u00a0and rose to RM13 billion in 2019, adding that the amount is expected to double by 2025 with the implementation of PIPFN.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also hope that more Malaysian franchise brands will enter international markets,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He urged franchisers to participate in the Malaysian Sales Carnival 2020 and the Buy Malaysian Product Campaign taking place from July to December this year.<\/p>\n<p>On another note, Nanta said that during the meeting, franchisers voiced their frustrations regarding the procedures in applying for operating permits\u00a0which involve\u00a0various authorities, adding that they had\u00a0proposed for the government to set up a one-stop centre\u00a0for operating licence applications.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dclass.my\/masjid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/2.png\"><img class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-8736\" src=\"http:\/\/dclass.my\/masjid\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/2-300x149.png\" alt=\"2\" width=\"300\" height=\"149\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Source: Money Compass<\/p>\n<p>Full article:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/moneycompass.com.my\/2020\/06\/30\/national-franchise-development-plan-to-boost-industry\/\">https:\/\/moneycompass.com.my\/2020\/06\/30\/national-franchise-development-plan-to-boost-industry\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Putrajaya, June 30, The National Franchise Development Master Plan (PIPFN) 2021-2025, which is currently being developed, will be able to boost local and overseas franchise businesses as well as increase franchise sales value by 2025.
