The Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) aims to achieve a sales value of RM600 million from the Franchise International Malaysia Exhibition and Conference 2024 (FIM2024), to be held May 29-June 1, 2024.
MFA president Datuk Radzali Hassan said to date, more than 70 per cent of the 240 booths available have been taken up by franchise companies and various
organisations.
“Aside from local brands, the event has also drawn interest of exhibitors from Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, China, India and the United Arab Emirates.
“I believe that participation in programmes like this is one of the best steps to strengthen and expand business networks at both the local and international levels,”
he said in his speech during the pre-launch of the FIM2024 here today.
Radzali said that the FIM2024 will also include the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC) and the World Franchise Council (WFC) annual meeting, which will
see the gathering of representatives from franchise associations from more than 40 countries, as well as the Franchise Award Night 2024.
Meanwhile, commenting on the National Franchise Policy 2030 which will be launched in the first quarter of this year, he said the MFA fully supports the policy, and
believes that the policy is set to further strengthen the industry.
The FIM2024 is fully supported by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living as well as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation.
