THE Oldtown White Coffee Express Affordable Prototype was launched recently under the Micro and Affordable Franchise Development Programme (F3M).
F3M is an initiative implemented by the Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) in collaboration with the Malaysian Franchise Association.
KPDNHEP secretary general Datuk Seri Hasnol Zam Zam said Oldtown White Coffee Express was one of the franchise brands selected to receive a full grant worth RM50,000 and the first prototype launched under the programme.
He added that Oldtown White Coffee had successfully developed a prototype of the Oldtown Express affordable franchise, with a business start-up cost of only RM100,000, which included the installation of outlets, equipment and furniture, franchise fees and training fees.
“I am also delighted that this package will be able to give the franchisee a profit of 16% for each outlet,” Hasnol said in a statement yesterday.
He added that three more franchisors are in the final stages of preparing the F3M concept business while several others are in the preliminary planning stage.
“I hope more franchisors can prepare F3M franchise packages that can provide business opportunities to the bottom 40% and middle 40% income group communities.
“I also believe that this programme will have a positive impact on the country’s economic development and raise our economic status to the next level,” he said.
