The Franchise International Malaysia (FIM) Exhibition and Conference is set for a remarkable return, presenting a variety of opportunities for exhibitors and visitors. Hosted by the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA), this annual event is gearing up for its 31st edition, featuring an expansive exhibition space for nearly 250 booths. Taking place from May 29 to June 1, 2024, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center (KLCC), FIM receives strong support from key entities, including the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living (Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri dan Kos Sara Hidup Malaysia, KPDN) and the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).
FIM, a cornerstone in the franchising sector, has witnessed impressive participation, with over 70% of the exhibition space booked by a mix of local and international franchise companies. It attracts exhibitors not only from Malaysia but also from Japan, Singapore, South Korea, China, Taiwan, and India. Datuk Dr. Radzali Hassan, Chairman of MFA, emphasizes FIM’s significance as a launchpad for franchise industry players.
Anticipating over 30,000 visitors, FIM2024 aims for sales worth RM600 million over three days. The event includes the Annual Meetings of Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC) and World Franchise Council (WFC), with Malaysia hosting once again, following its successful stint in 2013. The spotlight shines on the industry’s contributors during the Franchise Awards Night 2024 (Malam Anugerah Francais 2024, MAF2024).
The nomination process for the 21 award categories starts in February, welcoming participants from all facets of the franchise industry. Datuk Dr. Radzali Hassan emphasizes FIM2024’s role in supporting entrepreneurs and fortifying the sustainability of the franchise industry. The event serves as a comprehensive platform for branding and expanding franchise business networks.
Supported by strategic partners like Pos2u Sdn Bhd, Ayam Penyet Bagus Sdn Bhd, Kopitiam Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, Brickforest Sdn Bhd, and Marrybrown Sdn Bhd, FIM2024 is set to be a resounding success.
In conclusion, FIM2024, in its 31st iteration since 1994, attests to the enduring growth of the franchise industry. Providing a platform for networking, business development, and international collaboration, FIM solidifies its position in the global franchise community, aligning with bodies like the World Franchise Council and Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation.
