KUALA LUMPUR, June 17 (Bernama) — The Franchise International Malaysia 2014 (FIM 2014) recorded business transactions of RM364 million.
The international franchise exhibition and conference also registered an increase in the number of franchisees at 1,560, an improvement of 16 per cent when compared to last year, said the Malaysian Franchise Association in a statement here Tuesday.
The FIM 2014 serves as a platform to develop the Malaysian franchise industry in line with the government’s efforts to make the country the Southeast Asian franchise hub by 2020.
This year’s event from June 13-15 was held with the cooperation of the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism.
