The Atlanta-based bakery-café chain has re-launched in Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur’s Exchange TRX shopping centre and will open a second site in Putrajaya this month.
US bakery-café chain Cinnabon has re-entered Malaysia with new franchise partner AC Hesed Group after exiting the market at the height of the pandemic trading restrictions in 2021.
The first store of the partnership has opened at the fashionable shopping, dining, leisure and entertainment venue Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur. AC hesed Group said a second site will open at the IOI City Mall in Putrajaya before the end of this month.
“We are thrilled to bring the world’s best cinnamon rolls to Malaysians,” said Noémi Chaw, Strategic Director, AC Hesed Group.
Cinnabon, which is owned by Atlanta-based franchise group GoTo Foods, previously operated in Malaysia via licensee Chrisnabon Sdn Bhd.
Primarily located in high footfall shopping malls, airports and train stations, the bakery-café chain currently has more than 1,600 franchise locations across 50 countries.
Singapore-based AC Hesed Group also operates licensed Krispy Kreme, llaollao, 108 Matcha Saro, Ben’s Cookies and TP Tea stores across Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
