(Bernama) — Australia presents a growing opportunity for Malaysian franchise brands, especially in the food and beverage sector, said Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA) Chairman Datuk Radzali Hassan.
In a statement distributed today at the International Market Updates Session (IMUS): Opportunities and Challenges in Melbourne, Australia session here, he said Malaysian kopitiams had a strong presence in the country.
“There is an estimated 50 franchise outlets in Melbourne alone,” Radzali said.
The Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry will be organising a Franchise Expansion Programme to Melbourne from Aug 25-26 to help local brands expand and a total of 10 franchisors will join it, including Manhattan Fish Market, Marrybrown and Smart Reader Kids.
