THE local franchise industry has contributed RM26.6 billion to the country’s economy last year. Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin said that the amount was slightly lower than the RM26.8 billion contribution to the gross domestic product in 2015.
